The journal Matemática, Educación e Internet is a free, open-access, online biannual publication founded in 2000 and sponsored by the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. The journal publishes original research papers, both theoretical and applied, in mathematics, mathematics education at all educational levels, and related fields. In addition, it includes the sections Mathematics Topics, Didactics and Software, History, Geometry Topics, Mathematics and Algorithms, Inclusive Mathematics Education, and Mathematical Curiosities.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. The journal aims to serve as a meeting point for the international community engaged in mathematics and mathematics education, while also providing a space for reflection and dissemination in these areas. Its target audience includes primary, secondary, and university educators, as well as students and researchers in mathematics and mathematics education.
