Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal. Otherwise, an explanation must be provided in the comments to the editor.
  • The submitted file is in one of the formats accepted by the journal.
  • Whenever possible, web addresses or DOI information have been included for the references.
  • The text uses single spacing, 12-point font size, and italics instead of underlining, except for URLs.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are inserted in their corresponding places within the text and not placed at the end of the document.
  • The manuscript follows the bibliographic and style requirements established in the Guidelines for Authors, available in the “About the Journal” section.

Author Guidelines

The editorial board appreciates your interest in publishing your work in Matemática, Educación e Internet. The publication welcomes contributions related to mathematics, mathematics education, the use of technology, and related fields at both the secondary and university levels.

The journal brings together several sections devoted to research, outreach, and the teaching of mathematics, including Mathematics Topics, Didactics and Software, History, Geometry Topics, Mathematics and Algorithms, Inclusive Mathematics Education, and Mathematical Curiosities. These sections cover areas such as pure and applied mathematics, educational software, numerical methods, discrete mathematics, algebra, optimization, dynamic geometry, the history of mathematics, and strategies for inclusive mathematics education, among others.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright to their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Authors also authorize the journal to edit, reproduce, distribute, display, and promote the articles nationally and internationally through different print and digital media.

In addition, authors authorize the adaptation of articles into reading, audio, or voice formats in order to facilitate access for people with disabilities or other limitations. The journal may also translate the article into languages other than the original language of publication.

Authors authorize the journal to publish personal information associated with the authorship of the article, including name, institutional affiliation, city, country, and email address.

Authors also assume responsibility for any litigation or claims related to intellectual property rights, releasing both the journal and the Costa Rica Institute of Technology from any liability.

The opinions and views expressed in the articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or the Costa Rica Institute of Technology.
