Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright but provide the journal the right of the first publication. They allow the journal to edit, reproduce, distribute, display and promote the paper both domestically and internationally through different print and digital media. In addition, they allow the paper to be adapted to reading, sound, or voice formats so that people with disabilities can access it. Also, the paper may be translated into any language other than the original.
Authors allow the journal to publish, along with the paper, personal data such as names, surnames, the institution of filiation, city, country, and email.
Likewise, the authors assume the commitment to any litigation or claim related to intellectual property rights, exonerating the journal and the Technological Institute of Costa Rica of all responsibility.
It is clarified that the views and comments of the authors do not necessarily represent the views of the journal or those of the Technological Institute of Costa Rica.
