Abstract

The frequent errors and difficulties presented by Statistics I students at UDO Anzoátegui, when applying counting techniques, are found, for the most part, when solving combination and permutation problems. In this research, it was evident that the greatest difficulty is presented to the student in the environmental environment for the development of expository classes. Learning strategies were selected under cooperative learning, aimed at reducing possible errors and difficulties that students encounter in the application of counting techniques. It was concluded that students must manage a cooperative vision of the learning process and implement strategies, such as: conscious reflection on the purpose or object of study, connecting new knowledge and that already learned, organizing information and applying study techniques.
