Abstract

Low mechanization in Colombia’s agricultural sector poses challenges to productivity and sustainability. Only 16% of Agricultural Production Units have adequate machinery, generating additional costs and efficiency losses. In response, MaqAgr was developed—an interactive web application that calculates compatibility between tractors and agricultural implements, integrating variables such as power, terrain type, and technical characteristics. The tool was designed with a modular frontend-backend architecture, specialized algorithms for power calculations, and a database of 150 tractors and 80 agricultural implements, promoting sustainable mechanization aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
