All illustrations, figures, and tables are located within the text where it corresponds, and not are they grouped at the end.
The text follows the style rules and the requirements for citation and referencing included in Guidelines for Authors, which are found in About the Journal.
If you are sending your article at the section for peer-review of this journal, you must make sure that you have followed the instructions in Assuring your Article a Double-Blind Review.
The file sent is a Microsoft Word document, no larger than 15 pages.
The petition has not been previously published or submitted to another magazine (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor).
Author Guidelines
To submit an article for publishing, authors should previously revise if their manuscript meets the following criteria:
They must be original, unpublished work, and should not participate in other publishing processes simultaneously (otherwise, a proper explanation should previously be offered in Comments to the Editor).
Their extent may vary between 5 and 15 pages of 21,5 x 28 cm (8,5 x 11 inches). They must be edited as Microsoft Word documents, with 1.5 interlineal space, in single-column text, and 12-point font size.
Titles must summarize the main idea of the manuscript clearly and concisely; they must appear both in English and Spanish.
Complete information about the author(s) should follow the title: name and surnames (according to use), professional degrees, affiliation (institutional and departmental) and state of location, telephone, and e-mail. The authors̕ ORCID identifier must be also included; when not owning one, authors can obtain theirs in https://orcid.org/
Key words and abstract must appear both in English and Spanish. Abstracts must enclose not more than 250 words.
Images must be submitted in a separate file. In case they are scanned, they must fix the minimum resolution of 300 p.p.i. The file formats allowed for this purpose are jpg, ̱tiff, ̱eps, ̱psd, and ̱
Formulas and mathematical equations must be edited in Microsoft Office equation ̓s editor.
Where it corresponds, the International System of Units should be used.
References cited in the manuscript should be listed at the end, after concluding the report. They must appear in the IEEE format, in the order it stablishes. See instructions.
The Editorial Commission won ̓t process for edition articles that fail to comply with these requirements.

Authors retain copyright and give the Journal the first publication rights up, as well as the rights to edit, reproduce, distribute, display, and communicate them, inside the country and abroad, through print or electronic media. Besides, they assume their commitment over any litigation or claim related to intellectual property rights, releasing Editorial Tecnológica de Costa Rica from any liability concerning therewith.
The license also grants the authors the possibility to make contractual agreements independently from the present one and additionally to it, for the not exclusive distribution of the version of the article published in this Journal (for example, to include it in an institutional repository or in a book), provided that they clearly indicate that the work was published in this Journal for the first time.
