Editorial Policies
Anti-plagiarism Policies
The arbitration coordination uses the plagiarism control tool (proposed by the Tec-Digital platform of the Costa Rica Institute of Technology which is based on the Turnitin package for its searches) Upon initially receiving the proposal for evaluation. If more than 25% similarity is obtained, the author or authors are requested to clarify this coincidence; in case of persisting, the proposal is rejected inmediately.
In addition, evaluators are encouraged to use plagiarism detection sites (http://plagiarisma.net/, http://www.dustball.com/cs/plagiarism.checker/) during the review process.
Digital Preservation
The pdf documents and others are preserved in the Department of Administration of Information and Communication Technologies (Datic) of the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, which provides backups to the entire network of virtual servers hosted by the university.
