Abstract

This paper presents the design and assessment of a virtual educational proposal for learning solids of revolution. The proposal included resources such as videos, online practices, support material, and a workshop to explain the use of the Schoology platform, GeoGebra, and a scientific calculator. The effectiveness of the proposal was determined by a quasi-experiment whose response variable was the score obtained in the topic of solids of revolution. A survey was also applied to students in the experimental group to find out their perception of the quality and relevance of the proposal. The results indicate that the virtual educational proposal had a positive effect both on academic performance (81.25 points experimental group and 59.4 points control group) and on the perception of the use of educational resources (90%recommended them). In conclusion, the use of ICT improved academic performance and generated positive perceptions among the student body, thus promoting greater learning of the contents, which can also combine face-to-face teaching with the use of open educational resources available online.
