Artificial intelligence usage policy
RFMK recognizes the progress and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the scientific field. However, the following guidelines are established for their responsible use in the preparation and submission of manuscripts:
- Transparency: The use of generative AI tools (such as language models, writing assistants, or machine translation) must be declared in the acknowledgments or methodology section, specifying the type of tool used and its specific purpose.
- Authorship limitations: AI tools must not be listed as authors under any circumstances.
- Academic responsibility: Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of content generated with AI support. Any misuse, including unattributed text generation or manipulation of results, will be considered an ethical violation.
- Ethical review: The editorial team reserves the right to request clarifications regarding the use of AI in manuscripts and, in case of doubt, may apply additional review measures or reject the submission.
If a manuscript shows inconsistencies in writing, style, or language use that suggest undeclared artificial generation, the editorial team may apply AI-detection tools. Based on the results, the Editorial Committee may request clarifications from authors, require text reformulation, or, in severe cases of misuse or lack of transparency, reject the manuscript for non-compliance with editorial policies.
