Code of ethics and good practices

In line with international ethical principles, the Mesoamerican Forestry Journal Kurú (RFMK) adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and endorses the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). The journal promotes fair, transparent, and content-focused evaluation, moving away from the use of metrics such as the impact factor as a quality criterion.

Within this framework, all authors interested in publishing in RFMK are requested to follow these ethical principles, ensuring academic integrity, originality of content, and respect for the editorial process.
