Design of a smart product system to assist home workout

Abstract
The home exercise assistance system was born with the aim of helping, facilitating and improving the user's experience when performing physical activity at home. The system uses intelligent functions by means of technological resources in order to generate products that optimize the user's performance in the execution of the exercise at home through the sensory feedback given by means of sound, tactile and visual elements. In addition, it was defined that the system would be composed of two products, a mat and a bar, which allow covering the most common exercises done at home and that together favors the physical activity of the body.
In this article we present the design process where the appearance, context, idea, functionality, form, manufacture and validation of such are defined. The validation also allowed us to confirm that the aspects investigated and subsequently developed were the correct ones, showing that the system had a very good reception by users.
