¿IMPULSA LA GERENCIA VERDE LA INNOVACIÓN EN PYMES LATINOAMERICANAS?: EL ROL DEL CONTEXTO Y DE LAS BARRERAS PERCIBIDAS
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the current landscape, where climate change threatens biodiversity in Latin America, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role. This research analyzes the relationship between the implementation of green management practices, perceived barriers to sustainability, and innovative performance among SMEs in the region. Using a structural equation model applied to a sample from 16 countries, our findings indicate that adopting green practices not only contributes to environmental protection but also acts as a driver of innovation. Furthermore, we found that the influence of the institutional context (legal, cultural, and developmental factors) significantly alters how companies transform sustainability challenges into innovative outcomes. These insights are vital for both managers and public policymakers.
